These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Dreamliner, a Discord moderation and server-management bot (the "Service"). By inviting Dreamliner to a Discord server, configuring it, or using its commands, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not invite or use Dreamliner.
#1. The Service
Dreamliner is a hosted Discord bot that provides moderation, automation, role management, logging, and related server tools. Server settings are managed through YAML configuration files that you download, edit, and upload via slash commands.
Dreamliner is provided as-is for use on Discord. Self-hosting is not offered or supported under these Terms.
#2. Eligibility and authority
You must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
If you invite Dreamliner or upload configuration for a server, you represent that you have authority to do so (for example, Manage Server or equivalent permission) and that the server’s owners and moderators accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
#3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Dreamliner to:
- Violate Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or applicable law
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against others
- Spam, raid, or disrupt Discord servers or Discord’s platform
- Store or process illegal content, or content you do not have the right to process
- Attempt to exploit, reverse engineer (except where allowed by law), overload, or disrupt the Service
- Circumvent permission systems, rate limits, or security controls
- Impersonate Dreamliner staff or misrepresent your relationship with the Service
Server administrators are responsible for how Dreamliner is configured and used in their community, including moderation actions, message logging, and automation.
#4. Permissions and configuration
Dreamliner requires Discord permissions you grant at invite time and afterward. Features only work when you grant the needed Discord permissions and configure Dreamliner levels and can_* flags correctly.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your YAML configuration accurate and secure
- Choosing appropriate log channels, mute roles, and plugin settings
- Ensuring moderators who receive elevated levels understand their powers
- Complying with Discord’s privileged intent rules (including Message Content) in your server
#5. Moderation and automated actions
When enabled, Dreamliner may mute, kick, ban, delete messages, send moderation DMs, post log embeds, assign roles, and take other actions you configure.
You acknowledge that:
- Automated rules (automod, censor, autodelete, etc.) can affect innocent users if misconfigured
- Case history and archives may retain moderation metadata after an action ends
- Failed DMs or permission errors may prevent intended actions
We are not responsible for moderation decisions made by your staff or by rules you configured.
#6. Availability
We aim to keep Dreamliner available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, command success, or feature continuity. The Service may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice.
Slash commands, Discord API limits, and outages on Discord’s side can affect the Service.
#7. Intellectual property
Dreamliner, its branding, documentation, and related materials are owned by the Dreamliner operators, except for third-party components and open-source libraries licensed separately.
The repository and portions of the software may be offered under the MIT license where explicitly stated. That license does not grant you a right to use our hosted bot instance, Discord application, or branding beyond ordinary Discord use of the invited bot.
Configuration files and content you upload remain your responsibility. You grant us a license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for your server.
#8. Privacy
How we collect and use data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Dreamliner, you also agree to that policy.
#9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that Dreamliner will meet your requirements, catch every rule violation, prevent all raids, or preserve data forever.
#10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DREAMLINER OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR SERVER ACCESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ZERO (USD $0), BECAUSE THE HOSTED BOT IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.
#11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless the Dreamliner operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your server’s use of Dreamliner, your configuration, content you store through the bot, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
#12. Termination
You may stop using Dreamliner by removing the bot from your server and discontinuing its commands.
We may remove Dreamliner from servers, revoke access, or delete associated data if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if required by Discord or law.
Removal of the bot does not automatically erase all stored data. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion.
#13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of Dreamliner after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Material changes may also be announced via documentation or other reasonable means.
#14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the Dreamliner operators are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer laws apply.
